Not something the family wants to hear, we chose this community because of their care level, yet (again not the home's responsibility since it is an outside company providing the assistance). I would highly recommend this complex, with a cautionary note for the outside company providing the care. [Name removed], at the front desk, is always available during the day Monday through Friday. The housekeeping is good. My loved one has been very disappointed in the meals. For example, by the time he gets his eggs at breakfast, they are almost always cold. Also, I understand that bacon and eggs are not an option to get together. He told me one day he can get eggs and toast and another day bacon and toast. I believe there is only one person in the kitchen. It makes it terribly hard for that person to keep up with the demand of the residents for food service. Also, my loved one does not like a lot of the meals. Therefore, starting this month, we opted out of the full meal service and I will be taking him shopping every Friday to get foods for the week. The other disappointment was the activities. The activities sign states that there is Euchre several times a week. That is my loved one's favorite card game. He was looking forward to meeting other people and playing Euchre. However, there is no Euchre at all there. They do play Bingo, but he is not interested in Bingo. Overall, I believe that my loved one quite happy there. The room and the area is very nice.
