They saved my mom
Excellent place!! I love it and my mom loves it too.
We learned about the Chateau when we went to a function at the Northshore Senior Center with our mom.
At first I read the old reviews on this site and was hesitant because of the negative things people said. But I decided to check into it for myself. We took our time and toured places in Bothell and in Woodinville. We ate lunch, talked to other family members and current residents and were invited to attend an activity or come back for a meal on our own at any time which we did. In comparison to the other retirement communities in the area, this one stands above all others.
My mom moved in and has been living at Chateau for 6 months. I am still blown away by everything they do on a daily basis for the residents and family members.
The staff is so kind, professional, informed and responsive to any and all needs. They have such positive energy.
The people at the Senior Center told us about Chateau and gave us the Marketing Directors names. They both knew what is going on with my mom and made it very smooth for us. They took the stress out of the move by preparing us and my mom for the move.
One day my mom said something concerning to an employee. It wasn't "what" my mom said, but it was "how" she said it. She apparently slurred her words. The employee who was not in nursing immediately told the nurse in charge. The nurse assessed my mom right away and had 911 take her to the ER. It turned out she was having a stroke. She received needed medication to help stop the problems the stroke could have caused. They care about their residents and I am so thankful for everything they do.
We are so happy we chose Chateau at Bothell Landing. It means the world to us to have my mom in such a great place. I don't feel like my mom is in a place for "old people". The people who live their have fun and it shows in all that they do.

concerned for those who live at Chateau
My mom lived at Chateau Bothell for 3 years and my daughter worked there for one. There was constant turnover of management, assisted living also had lots of turnover. mistakes were made several times on delivery of meds. Once the wrong thing was brought, and often they were delivered up to 2 hours past schedule. Once a nurse on duty told me she would call 911 if I didn't come and take my mom to the emergency room-even though I was fully involved and aware of her condition and knew she was ok. I took it as a threat. I have several friends who still live there and they have been ignored, told by the director that they can move if they aren't happy. He swore at one of them! One of them asked the maintenance man for a hand-up (he just needed help standing after kneeling on the floor for a while) and the guy said no. Said he could call 911 but wouldn't help. My friend stayed on the floor until he could get himself up. Another friend has her husband in memory care (which is very expensive) and at one point told her she had to hire a personal aid for him. What are they paid to do?
I feel the general attitude of the staff is that they tolerate the residents and maybe humor them. But they don't really care or respect them.

Nice place
My mom has lived there for over 6 years. The food in the bistro and the brick are excellent. Staff is very friendly, lots of activities, central to services, shopping, doctors. It's not perfect of course, no place is but she loves it there, has many friends. The people in memory care have planned activities. They are never super happy places but i think the Chateau does an overall good job

Beautiful but too far
Chateau at Bothell Landing was a gorgeous community! It's definitely a good option for families in Bothell. We felt it was too far from us and would make visiting difficult.

Frequent turnover of Ex Dirs
Chateau at Bothel Landing has had six (6) different Executive Directors in less than three years. The owerner of this "family owned and operated" facility has no family members in upper management roles.

As a resident, we just learned that a resent license inspection by the state resulted in 19 items of Non-compliance. Think again if you like this place!

Nice facility but....
This is a nice facility that caters to the needs of independent, assisted living and memory care individuals.
I don't recommend this place for memory care since that area seemed lifeless with residents just sitting in front of a TV and no real activities going on. The memory care staff seemed uninspired and just went through the motions.
The list of activities available for independent and assisted living seniors seemed very robust which was in stark contrast to what was in memory care. Since the corporate office is so close I wonder just how involved they are or if they really understand senior care. Family owned business with many executive positions held by family members.

Worst place to work! It is not for employees that have a heart and care a lot. The employees have been discriminated and used, besides the low pay. This place from inside out is rotten. It is really sad actually,
especially for the tenants.
To expensive to live in too. Most of the food served is tasteless and cheap. I wont recommend Chateau At Bothell Landing to my grandparents or anyone else.
This is the absolute truth. Think twice, before start to work or live there.

They're fantastic - the facility is more modernistic but the decor is incredible. It's right across the street from the Bothell Senior Center (there's a pancake breakfast every Saturday morning) and it's 3 blocks from downtown Bothell.
The only thing that kept us from moving in here was that they didn't have an opening until December. They have an internal transfer service that gives people who already live in a sister community priority for rooms in any other community there.
