Caring for Your Family

We will work with you and your family to develop a personal comprehensive care plan. If necessary we will arrange consultation with your family physician to get a full understanding of the needs of the patient. Our service coordinator then assigns the appropriate type of caregiver with the experience and personality that best suits your family’s needs. The caregiver is introduced to your family so you can participate in the selection process. It is important that our caregiver matches expectations and there is some involvement with your loved one, as they need to connect with one another and have some commonality. Once placed in your home, we follow up with telephone check-ins and home visits.

At Golden Oak we take great pride in our relationship with our staff. All of our Personal Support Workers are employees of the company. They are compensated fairly with statutory and holiday benefits paid by us. Our staff is fully insured, treated with respect and properly supervised. It is for this reason our company attracts and retains the highest caliber of caregivers. The cost for the comfort of knowing your family member is well taken care of when you’re not at home or unable to attend to them is very reasonable.It’s important too that you know that you can communicate with us at any time, any day. Our service coordinators are available 24/7 to answer your call and help you as quickly as possible. Our service allows your family member to continue to enjoy their independence in their routine and daily life in familiar surroundings, ensuring peace of mind for their families.

Family Caregiver

It is our highest priority and most important function; providing first – rate services in all aspects of the assignment. If you have a special request just ask and we will make every attempt to accommodate your need. Our employees are carefully selected and everyone possesses a Personal Support Worker (PSW)/RN/RPN Certificate and in almost all cases have 20 years of on the job experience. We are diligent in our hiring process, we check references from previous employers and we require a Police Clearance and Certificate from every caregiver we employ.
